CHAPEL José Gregorio Hernández
One of the places of Agropecuaria La Unión, specifically the Hato Santa Rosa, is and will always be an important reference anchored with indissoluble ties to the miracle of little Yaxury, who revealed herself in this land and which allowed the materialization of the desired achievement for Venezuela: the Beatification of Dr. José Gregorio Hernández. That is why this Chapel constitutes the spiritual and human space that allows the Farm to connect with the inhabitants of the surrounding states and the Venezuelan people in general, through the great devotion and immense faith that they profess to Blessed José Gregorio Hernández.
From the moment the news regarding the miracle in the person of the minor Yaxury Solórzano Ortega was received,the procedures to start the diocesan phase to certify the miracle began. The Tribunal moved to Camaguán to prepare the file that would later be taken to Rome to the Congregation for the Cause of Saints. Thanks to the kindness of Engineer Domingo Amaro and all the Staff of Hato Santa Rosa, the Diocesan Tribunal began its work on December 18, 2018.
As soon as it was known that the miracle was advancing positively in its Roman phase -as was the desire of millions of Venezuelans- Engineer Domingo Amaro planned the construction of a Chapel as an expression of his family's faith in Dr. José Gregorio Hernández. and for the pilgrimage of all the population of the area. Thus, the Dedication of the Chapel was finally carried out on August 10, 2021 through an ecclesiastical ceremony celebrated by His Excellency Cardinal Baltazar Enrique Cardozo, Archbishop of Mérida and Apostolic Administrator of Caracas, which was attended by distinguished ecclesiastical personalities, local and state authorities and the faithful devotees of the Blessed.
Since that solemn day, ecclesiastical licenses have been granted to this Chapel to reserve the Holy Eucharist and the celebration of the sacraments.
